KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Nationally recognized ceramic artists are displaying their work at the American Jazz Museum's gallery now through mid-May.

Ceramics is considered by many in the art world to be an overlooked medium, and the curator at the museum hopes this exhibit will help change that.

Artists from 13 countries were selected through an arduous process. The work here represents everything from clay sculptures to porcelain masterpieces. The exhibit is in honor of the 50th anniversary of the National Council on Education for Ceramic Arts.

By the way, most of the art on display is for sale. So if you like what you see, come down to the museum and make a purchase.

The exhibit runs through May 16.
