KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The boys in blue are the hottest team in baseball right now after coming off back-to-back World Series appearances, and fans can’t seem to get enough of them.

Wednesday night was no exception when Royals fans saw one of their favorite players on the streets of Kansas City.

As Royals’ first baseman, Eric Hosmer, tried to leave the Justin Bieber concert, fans mobbed the baseball player in an attempt to get a selfie or even just get near the World Champ. In the process, the mobbing fans knocked down a young girl and her mother. Hosmer stopped to help pick up the young girl and her mother so they wouldn’t get trampled in the crowd.

Tune into FOX 4 news at 5 and 6 p.m., Thursday to hear more from reporter Judy Le who spoke with the little girl.

Kansas City Royals Mike Moustakas represented Kansas City well on Tuesday with his profound respect for a veteran during the ceremonial 1st pitch. Click here to read the story.
