KANSAS CITY, Mo. --The FOX 4 film critics are back in the screening room and this time they reviewed "The Forest." Watch the video above to find out what they thought of the horror flick.
1) THE FOREST (PG-13)
More creepy than scary "The Forest" is a somewhat effective horror flick. However, the legend of the suicide mountain in Japan would make a great documentary or fantastic Movie Trip. As a horror film "The Forest" may not have enough jump out of your seat moments for most although Natalie Dormer is excellent. She actually carries the entire movie.
The extras include a mini feature about the history behind the Japanese forest. It's actual pretty cool. Like I said, a documentary on why so many go to this mountain to take their own life in real life would make for a fascinating documentary. The rest of the bonus material is just sub-standard dribble.
