Less than an hour after news alerts, missing 10 & 11-year-old brothers located and are safe

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police asked the community to be on the lookout for two brothers, ages 11 and 10, who hadn’t been seen since Sunday evening, May 22 at about 7:00 p.m.

Less than an hour after police sent out the notification to Kansas City news organizations, D’Vonte and Damon Jones, ages 11 and 10, were located.  They are safe.

According to Kari Thompson, spokesperson for KCPD, the boys’ mother woke up around 9 p.m., Sunday and realized the boys did not return home. Their mother added that her EBT card was also missing, although she cannot confirm whether it was the two young boys who took the card.
