KANSAS CITY, Mo. — There will be two new faces in the Royals dugout Wednesday night when KC plays the Tampa Bay Rays. The club has recalled outfielder Reymond Fuentes and right-handed pitcher Peter Moylan from AAA Omaha.

The Royals placed rookie outfielder Brett Eibner on the disabled list with a left ankle sprain and optioned Tuesday night’s starter Dillon Gee to Omaha. Eibner is eligible to return from the DL on June 16, but a news release didn’t elaborate about the extent of his injury, more is expected to be revealed when manager Ned Yost meets with the media Wednesday afternoon.

This will be the second tour of the season with the Royals for Fuentes and Moylan. Fuentes was on the Opening Day roster and appeared in six games, hitting .238 with three runs batted in. In six relief appearances with Kansas City, Moylan is 2-0 with a 2.45 earned run average.

Gee saw his ERA balloon from 2.90 to 4.28 following rough back-to-back outings where he have up nine earned runs in nine innings pitched, surrendering four home runs in the process.
