CLINTON, Mo. —  A 35-year-old Clinton man died early Thursday morning when he struck a deer on Route F near Amsterdam, Mo.

John Gary was driving a 2006 Honda Civic when he struck the deer at about 6:45 a.m. on Thursday.  He traveled off the right side of the roadway and hit a road sign. His car then went down an embankment, hit a ditch and overturned.
