30-year-old man dead after fire at Sedalia, Mo., home

SEDALIA, Mo. — A 30-year-old man is dead after a fire at a Sedalia, Mo., home Thursday.

Firefighters got to the house in the 1900 block of  South Grand Avenue around 1:24 p.m., and found it fully engulfed in flames.

First responders found Matthew Eldenburg inside once they were able to get the fire under control. Eldenburg was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries. Police say Eldenburg lived in the home.

There is no word on how the fire started.
