Driver can’t beat train coming down track in Grandview

GRANDVIEW, Mo. — The driver of a work van escaped injury after a train hit the driver’s work van Thursday morning in downtown Grandview. The driver was trying to cross the tracks at 5th and Main at about 8:30 a.m., when the train crashed into it.

Grandview Fire Chief Ron Graham says the driver is ‘very, very lucky.’
