Overland Park respond to carjacking, say suspect last seen heading east on I-435 from Metcalf

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Overland Park police are investigating after a carjacking Friday morning.

Police were dispatched to the 7500  block of West 106th around 8:45 a.m., on a reported car jacking.

Police say the suspect was reportedly armed with a semi-automatic handgun and was last seen heading east on I-435 from Metcalf in the victim’s car.

The victim’s car is described as a white 2002 Toyota Corolla with a Kansas tags 599AOA. Police say the vehicle is missing all four hubcaps and has black steel wheels.

The suspect is described as wearing a red shirt and khaki pants.

According to police, no injuries were reported in the carjacking.
