Motorcyclist killed in crash at K-7 and Harold in Olathe

OLATHE, Kan. -- Police are investigating a crash in which the driver of a motorcycle was killed.

Investigators said the motorcycle collided with a pickup truck at the intersection of K-7 Highway and Harold Street around 7:25 p.m. Saturday.

Initial reports indicate that the pickup truck was northbound on K-7 when it struck the motorcycle, which is believed to have been making a left onto Harold from southbound K-7.

The 49-year-old motorcycle driver died at the scene. The 23-year-old driver of the pickup truck was not injured.

The crash closed part of northbound K-7 while crews cleared the accident.

Police have not yet identified the victim. The crash is still under investigation.
