KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Restoration Emporium has been in the West Bottoms since 2012. They are located in a 110 year old building that was once Kansas City's Studebaker Factory. They've transformed the old building into a vintage-lovers dream. Dozens of vendors re-purpose old furniture and season it with a lot of Kansas City love.
In fact, they were selling the farmhouse look before it became so popular. That is how they developed a relationship with Chip and Joanna Gains of "Fixer Upper" fame.
The owners of RE met the Gaines here a few years ago when Joanna stopped by Restoration Emporium's boot to shop. Later, they traveled to Waco for the grand opening of the Gaines new Silo store.
Now their friendship is becoming a business relationship.
Jeff and Chrysalyn Huff announced this morning on FOX 4 that they would soon begin carrying Joanna Gaines brand new paint and furniture line.
"We are really excited to carry Magnolia Home. It is going to enhance what we already have here at RE. We will have the beds and accent chairs and hopefully the paint. The price points are really good, so it meshes with the price points we already have here. I'm thrilled that people can come here and create their whole home with us," said Chrysalyn.
RE teaches classes on DIY home decor, including one on how to make Joanna Gaines signature magnolia wreath. They hope to have the furniture in the store by November. You can find out more at www.restorationemporium.com
