Robbery suspect in custody after standoff at 82nd and Tauromee

KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- A standoff near 82nd and Tauromee lasted nearly seven hours Saturday, but ended with the suspect taken into custody.

Police say a robbery suspect barricaded himself inside a home in the area around 11:19 a.m.

Around 6 p.m., officers took the suspect into custody. No one was injured.

Police say the 27-year-old man was wanted in Wyandotte County for an aggravated robbery.
