Independence police arrest two following high speed chase that ended with car rolling over

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. -- A driver that police say was fleeing from them crashed at I-435 and Gregory late Thursday morning. Independence police say two shoplifting suspects emerged from the car and were arrested.

Police began pursuing the car at about 11 a.m., at U.S. 24 Highway and Blue Ridge Boulevard. There was a report of an armed shoplifting incident at Westlake Hardware, officers quickly located the suspects' getaway car and gave chase.

The chase ended when the driver of the speeding car lost control and rolled over at I-435 and Gregory.

The suspects haven't been identified or charged yet, FOX 4 will continue to follow those developments.
