Man, 45, charged in Platte County for allegedly sending sexual messages to young girl

PLATTE COUNTY, Mo. — Platte County prosecutors charged a man on Monday for allegedly sending a young girl sexual messages on social media.

Charles Wells, 45,  is charged in Platte County with one count of enticement of a child who is less than 15 years old.

According to court documents, Wells used Facebook Messenger to send a teen girl sexual messages between July 30 and August 4.

Wells admitted to talking “about things sexual in nature,” with the victim, and he told prosecutors that he wrote an apology letter to the victim’s parents.
