Pedestrian sustains life-threatening injuries after being hit by car near Gregory and Virginia

Police say a car hit a pedestrian at Gregory and Virginia Monday just before noon.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A pedestrian was injured when he was hit by a truck near the intersection of Gregory and Virginia on Monday just before noon.

Police said a red Dodge pickup truck was traveling eastbound on Gregory when the pedestrian walked into the vehicle’s path. The driver stopped immediately after the collision and provided a statement to police.

The victim, described as a 46-year-old man from Kansas City, Mo., was transported to an area hospital, where he is listed in serious condition.
