Police say they do not believe she is related to any ongoing investigation or missing persons in the metro. Investigators say they called in the metro squad to bring in some extra detectives to follow up on leads and interview witnesses.

“Time is of the essence and so the most amount of area we can cover fast, the better off we`re going to be. All that evidence is going to be fresh, recollection from witnesses and people we interview is going to be better,” Lieutenant Kevin Tieman told FOX 4.

The metro squad is asking anyone who may have been in the area of Peculiar Drive north of Harrisonville between midnight on Saturday and 11 a.m. on Sunday to contact the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.

Investigators have not released a cause of death, nor said whether the case is being investigated as a homicide.
