Cass County Sheriff’s Office seeks Dodge truck in connection with Megan Wheeler’s death investigation

CASS COUNTY, Mo. -- On Tuesday the Cass County Sheriff's Office revealed it believes 32-year-old Megan Wheeler was walking home and struck by a vehicle in the area of Interstate 49 and Peculiar Drive.  Two bicyclists found her body on Sunday morning at about 11:30 in a ditch about two miles north of Harrisonville.

Investigators are looking for this vehicle: A 1994-2002 Dodge truck with damage to the front passenger area. Models can range from 1500, 2500 and 3500; no color was provided.

The metro squad is asking anyone who may have been in the area of Peculiar Drive north of Harrisonville between midnight on Saturday and 11 a.m. on Sunday, or anyone with information about the truck, to contact the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.
