Lupita Nyong`o shares what it was like filming in Uganda, demonstrates how to do “a whip”

From the slums of Uganda to the world chess championship, a new film from Disney depicts the inspiring story of a 16-year-old girl.

FOX 4's Russ Simmons sat down with Lupita Nyong`o to learn more about the real-life tale, "Queen of Katwe."

Nyong'o won an Academy Award in 2014 for her performance in "12 Years a Slave." Nyong'o told Russ Simmons film in Uganda was a great experience because it allowed her to immerse herself in the conditions of where the real-life tale took place.

She even demonstrated how to do what she calls "a whip."
