KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police got a call around 1:30 on Monday afternoon about a shooting at 84th and Wayne. Investigators say when officers arrived they found a homicide victim slumped over the wheel of a vehicle.

Police say the man`s vehicle was also damaged. Police identified him as 33-year-old Earl Watson, a man from Kansas City.

This is the third homicide in Kansas City since Sunday, and the 87th of 2016.

Neighbor Terry Everley says the gun violence appears to be getting worse, so much so that he`s almost numb to it.

“All I heard was the four shots. We were sitting in the living room and I said, ‘oh, there`s some more gunfire,” said Everley.

Police don’t know if the shooter ran away from the scene or drove away, and ask anyone who has information or saw anything suspicious to call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.
