Man in his 20s shot and killed near Armour Boulevard and Harrison

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed near Armour Boulevard and Harrison early Monday morning.

Kansas City, Mo., police were dispatched to the scene around 2:30 a.m.

Responding officers found a man in his 20s who had been shot outside of a residence near 34th and Harrison. Security officers were trying to revive him, but the man died of his injuries.

Investigators are trying to determine what led up to the shooting.

"All right now right now we have crime scene, homicide detectives, investigators, patrol officers blocking the area, and like I said before, we have them working the scene knocking on doors trying to find out what exactly what happened here tonight," Captain Stacey Graves said.
