For one day only fans of “Gilmore Girls” can get free coffee and visit Luke’s Diner in KC

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Fans of the hit show “Gilmore Girls” are in for a treat Wednesday.

Coffee shops across the country are transforming into Luke’s Diner, which is where the two main characters, Lorelai and Rory, spend most of their time.

In the metro, all three Roasterie Cafe locations are participating. They will hand out 250 free cups of coffee starting at 7 a.m.

It’s all part of a nationwide promotion for the upcoming “Gilmore Girls” mini series. It premieres on Netflix on Friday, Nov. 25.
