KCMO firefighters trying to determine what caused fire at home near 68th and Monroe

Firefighters say it took them about a half hour to put out the flames at the home.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Investigators are trying to figure out the cause of a house fire that occurred Tuesday morning.

Firefighters got to a house near 68th and Monroe around 2:30 a.m.

It took them about a half hour to make sure the fire was out.

Firefighters say they think the house is vacant.

Now they’re trying to figure out what started it.
