Police identify motorcyclist killed in collision with SUV in Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas City police say a motorcyclist died after colliding with an SUV on Tuesday afternoon. Emergency crews responded at about 5:15 p.m. to the crash scene at Independence Avenue and Booth.

Nicholas Quinn, 21, died at the scene, the driver of the SUV wasn't hurt according to investigators. According to the preliminary investigation, police say it appears the motorcyclist was traveling down Independence Avenue as the SUV driver turned onto Booth where the two collided.


Police say it doesn't appear that rain played a factor in the crash, but investigators are talking to eyewitnesses to determine all of the events that led up to the crash.
