Police: Suspect watched woman enter store, followed her to checkout lane, stole her keys before fleeing in her vehicle

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — The Overland Park Police Department is asking for the public’s help to locate a suspect they say was involved in a felony theft.

Police say Tuesday night, the suspect watched the victim walk into a retail store, which appears to be a Target, in the 11500 block of West 97th.

According to police, the suspect grabbed the victim’s keys from her hand as she entered the checkout lane. The suspect then left with the victim’s vehicle.
