Kansas City ranks among nation’s best for winter holiday travel; just edges out St. Louis

Maybe it’s the plaza lights, or maybe it’s the barbecue. For all the things Kansas City has going it, our city has been named the No. 4 best cold weather winter travel destination nationwide. Kansas City just barely beat St. Louis in a ranking system devised by personal finance website, WalletHub.

WalletHub’s analysts determined the rank of the nation’s 69 largest metro areas based on an algorithm that tracks categories like Travel Costs & Hassles, Local Costs, Attractions, Weather Conditions, and Activities.

Kansas City only ranked behind No. 3 Albuquerque, N.M.; No. 2 New York-Newark; and No. 1 Atlanta, Ga.
