Fire investigators looking into what caused vacant KCMO home to catch on fire

A vacant home near Beacon Avenue and Stadium Drive caught on fire early Monday, Oct. 24. Fire investigators are still trying to determine the cause.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Investigators are trying to figure out what started early morning house fire Monday.

Firefighters showed up at a house on Beacon Avenue off of Stadium Drive just after 1:30 a.m.

The house was vacant.

Firefighters said it was being renovated.

They did have to wait for the gas company to show up to turn off the gas.
