LENEXA, Kan. -- Police in Lenexa say they are grateful to the residents who helped them arrest an aggravated burglary suspect by providing information to police during their search.

On Tuesday, Nov. 1, just before 7:40 a.m., a Lenexa resident in the 7800 block of Monrovia Street reported hearing noises in the lower level of the house. A short time later the resident discovered someone had broken into the house and stole from the home.

Lenexa police responded to the home and began receiving reports from neighbors about seeing the suspect. They reported he was attempted to hide or perhaps break into additional houses.

Police say that about two hours after the initial break-in, they arrested a suspect behind a house in the 7700 block of Caenen Street.
