Triple negative breast cancer has lower survival rates and is defined more by what it is 'not.'

Dr. Priyanka Sharma, University of Kansas Cancer Center, says it is not a death sentence, though.

The University of Kansas Cancer Center is putting together a registry, the first of its kind in the world.

Dr. Sharma says they still don't understand the molecular drivers and biology of Triple Negative Cancer.

There are three main risk factors for breast cancer: Age, family history, and a pre-cancerous biopsy. Dr. Carol Fabian, Breast Cancer Prevention Center & Survivorship Center director, says women who are obese have an increased risk of breast cancer.
