2-year-old critically hurt in accidental shooting near a KCK Little Caesars

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – On Friday night in KCK a 2-year-old boy was critically hurt in a shooting. Police say the shooting was accidental, and happened around 10 p.m. near 75th and State Avenue.

An officer on scene said the boy was inside a car with his mom when he was shot. Police say the shots were fired inside the car, and the mom ran inside a nearby Little Caesars for help.

The boy was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Police interviewed employees of the Little Caesars and canvassed the parking lot. No arrests have been made yet.
