Dozens put their skating skills to the test as Crown Center Ice Terrace opens for the holiday season

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A holiday tradition returned to Crown Center Friday morning.

Dozens of people flocked to Crown Center Ice Terrace to be among the first to break in the skating rink.

Just like previous year, Crown Center is offered free skating, coffee and hot chocolate from 6 to 9 a.m.

Ice Terrace Hours

November through January

  • 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday through Thursday
  • 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday

February through March

  • Noon to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday
  • Noon to 11 p.m., Friday
  • 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., Saturday
  • 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday
