BREAKING: One dead, one wounded in Raytown shooting

RAYTOWN, Mo. -- Police are investigating a double shooting that occurred in Raytown Saturday evening that left one man dead and another injured.

Raytown police said they received a call of shots fired around 7 p.m. at a gas station near 52nd Street and Blue Ridge Cutoff. When they arrived they located two adult men who had been shot.

The crime scene was reportedly covered in more than a dozen shell casings. Police said a gun was found at the scene and a BMW could be seen parked at the gas pump with bullet holes in the windshield.

Both victims were transported to a hospital. One of the men suffered life-threatening injuries. He passed away hours later.

The condition of the other victim is unknown at this time.

Police did not release any suspect information.
