KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A deadly traffic accident closed two lanes of westbound 50-Highway near Missouri-131 on Saturday afternoon.

Missouri Highway Patrol said a two-vehicle crash resulted in one fatality.

A crash report revealed a Harley Davidson motorcycle was heading southbound on 131 and a Jeep was westbound on 50 when the accident occurred.

The motorcyclist, identified as 59-year-old Mary J. Savery of Warrensburg, Mo., was killed in the crash. The driver of the Jeep was not injured.

This intersection has seen its share of serious accidents in the past. A serious crash occurred there at the end of August, and in March, 15-year-old Shirley Tran was killed in an accident in the same area.
