KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are on the scene of a rollover crash on a West Plaza street that ejected a driver from a vehicle and damaged the front porch of a home Saturday evening.

Police said the driver of a Jeep was heading west on 48th Street at a high rate of speed when it collided with an SUV near Terrace Street at around 5 p.m.

The crash resulted in the Jeep overturning and the driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected through the sunroof. The Jeep also struck the front porch of a home at the corner, causing damage.

A Facebook post from a West Plaza Neighborhood Association showed images of the aftermath.

The driver of the Jeep was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The crash also sent the SUV into a parked Ford Mustang. The condition of the driver SUV is unknown at this time.
