Large fire in downtown St. Joe sends thick, black smoke into sky

ST. JOE, Mo. — Firefighters in St. Joe are battling a large fire Monday that is sending  thick, black smoke into the sky, according to KQ 2.

The fire started around 10 a.m.,  in a building downtown called the Pioneer Building.

The city of St. Joe is asking people to avoid that area of town for now.
