The secret to cooking shrimp from the chef of KCK’s Jarocho Pescados Y Mariscos

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- As part of the FOX 4 Foodies series, FOX 4 along with celebrity chef Stretch, are taking you inside some of Kansas City's best restaurants. From pubs to seafood, you'll be left with a list of new places to try. Chef Carlos Falcon of Jarocho Pescados Y Mariscos said he loves super fresh seafood so he showcases that in his restaurant. Watch the video above to learn how to make one of the restaurant's signature dishes. The ingredients are listed below.

Shrimp cucaracha 

Ingredients:

8 oz. whole Shrimp

1 tbsp. of butter

2 tbsp. diced onions

1 tbsp. chopped garlic

1 tbsp. chopped cilantro

1 tbsp. fresh lime juice

Salt and pepper

Jarocho sauce

 

Scallops aguachile 

Ingredients:

8 oz. Hokkaido Scallops

½ bunch of cilantro

2 whole cloves of garlic

1 tbsp. of chopped onions

½ cup of fresh lime juice

1 whole Jalapeno

Dash of fish sauce

Dash of fish sauce

Julienne red onions to garnish
