Victim shot during Kansas City robbery dies from injuries at hospital

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City police are investigating a deadly shooting that happened after a Wednesday evening robbery. Police say officers were called to the 3100 block of E. 49th Street at about 5:50 p.m. where a victim was suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police say he answered when someone knocked on his door and was confronted by the suspect. Following an armed robbery, the suspect shot the victim. The victim is a black male in his 40’s who later died at a hospital.
