KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Children’s Mercy Hospital is urging the community to donate its time, talents or funds to help kids heal.

The goal of ‘Giving Tuesday’ is to let patients and their families know the community supports them and wants them to get well.

“Anybody who loves kids, and who wants kids to be well, there is a place for them at Children’s Mercy. Either through volunteer opportunities or through giving of their own financial means. There is a way to give back and make a kid feel better,” said Jenea Oliver with Children’s Mercy Hospital.

The hospital says more than 1,000 volunteers provided 75,000 hours of time this past year, the equivalent of 36 full time jobs.  That’s the equivalent of 36 full time jobs.
