Man says he was shot after he chased robbery suspects from Crowne Plaza Hotel to nearby intersection

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police say a man was shot twice Tuesday evening when he  chased robbery suspects from his hotel room to a nearby intersection.

Around 6:35 p.m. officers were dispatched to 13th Street and Wyandotte in regards to a shooting.

A man told responding officers that  he and his friends were robbed inside of their room located at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The man said he then chased the suspects out of the hotel to the area of 13th Street and Wyandotte where one of the suspects shot him twice in the abdomen.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of his wounds.

Police have not yet released a suspect description.
