INDEPENDENCE, Mo. --  Singers at Truman High School have an exciting school year ahead of them.

Truman High School concert choir has a show Saturday, Dec. 10 with Kansas City legend Charles Bruffy, and in May they will head to Carnegie Hall to perform.

"I so love these young people in particular," Bruffy said. "They share their hearts. They care about what they're doing. They care about each other. They want to be better than they are and sound. That is why I think they sound like they do. This is because it's not just bodies and voices singing together, it's hearts coming together as one."
