LEE’S SUMMIT, Mo. — The Missouri Highway Patrol reports that a 47-year-old man from Warrensburg died in a Wednesday afternoon crash on U.S. Highway 50. An online report says that Charles Roderick crashed just after 2 p.m. while driving eastbound on U.S. 50 near Smart Road.

He was only the person involved in the crash and wasn’t wearing a seat belt. The report states that he drove his 2007 GMC off of the right side of the road and overturned before he was ejected.

This is the 67th deadly crash in MSHP’s Troop A area, and was among many that happened on U.S. 50 on Wednesday afternoon, which featured light snow and slick road conditions. The report doesn’t explicitly say that weather was a contributing factor.
