KC family's dog dies in house fire.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Firefighters in Kansas City quickly put out flames at a home just east of downtown Tuesday morning.

The fire was at a home near Newton Avenue and East 9th Street.

The people made it out safely without any injuries, but firefighters say the family’s dog died in the fire.
