Director of “Wonder Woman” talks about growing up in Lawrence and pressure she felt creating this movie

From comic books to TV, and now film, the princess of the Amazon soars to the big screen with her own anthology story in "Wonder Woman."

And speaking of powerful women, the director is a woman from the Kansas City area.

FOX 4's Shawn Edwards sat down with Patty Jenkins to talk about her origin story and the pressure she felt while working on this movie.

"Wonder Woman" opens in theaters June 2.
