PLATTE COUNTY, Mo.  —  A driver is dead after a crash early Sunday morning just to the north of Kansas City International Airport.

The Jeep driver crashed into a pole near NW 132nd Street and North Winan Road just before 4:00am Sunday.   A salt truck driver working in the area found the crash; the Jeep driver died at the scene.

Kansas City, Missouri police have not released the victim’s name or the circumstances leading up to the crash, although roads were slick in spots at the time of the crash.
