Firefighters spend night battling blaze at KC church near Ninth and Forest

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A fire at an abandoned church kept Kansas city firefighters busy Sunday night.

The fire started just before 10:30 p.m. at the church building near Ninth and Forest.

The two-alarm fire caused some issues for firefighters.

They had to go into defensive mode and battle the fire from the outside.

Fire investigators have not said what caused the fire.
