Motorcyclist suffers critical injuries after crash in Midtown

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A motorcyclist has suffered life-threatening injuries after a crash in Midtown Kansas City Thursday afternoon.

Officers were called to the intersection of  Terrace Street and W 39th Street around 3:30 p.m.

A black Nissan was driving north on Terrace Street. The driver stopped at a stop sign and pulled out onto 39th Street when the Nissan was struck by the motorcycle on the driver’s side.

The motorcyclist was driving at a high rate of speed and was ejected over the top of the Nissan before landing on the pavement.

He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Nissan received minor injuries, but refused treatment at the scene of the crash.
