    GRAVOIS MILLS, Mo.  –  Five people from Kansas City, Missouri including a 6-year-old girl were injured after a boat explosion Saturday afternoon at the Lake of the Ozarks. The Missouri Highway Patrol said the boat had just finished being filled with fuel at the Millstone Marina gas dock, when the driver started the boat. The shooting was reported around 9:15 p.m. near 57th and Manchester in Kansas City. No suspect description has been released at this time.     CLAY COUNTY, Mo.  –  An Excelsior Springs man is out on bond after being charged with his son’s death. Olin Tannery, 40, is charged with second-degree murder in the death of Dominick Pittsenbarger in April 2018. Tannery told police he couldn’t get his 1-month-old son Dominick to be quiet in 1998, according to court documents from 20 years ago.     KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police say they’re trying to determine how a man was injured Saturday night at 6th & Central in Kansas City, Missouri. KCPD said the man was found lying in the street shortly before 9 p.m. and was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. It’s unclear at this time whether the man was struck by a vehicle or how the injuries occurred. Police are continuing to investigate the incident.

  • KCK police urge residents to lock vehicles after string of burglaries

    KANSAS CITY, Kan.  —  Kansas City, Kansas police are investigating several car burglaries that occurred overnight Police said the burglaries occurred in the Delaware Ridge area early Saturday morning. About six cars were burglarized near 127th and State Avenue. Police said suspects were targeting unlocked vehicles. Police are asking that residents file a police report if their vehicle was burglarized and urge vehicle owners to lock their vehicles to help prevent theft.

  • Police release identity of victim in deadly Kansas City, Kan. stabbing

    KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Police have identified a man who died after being stabbed this week. Robert Tichenor, 32, of Kansas City, Kansas was found stabbed Tuesday in the 2200 block of Birch Drive. He died of his injuries Wednesday night, and the police department’s Major Case Squad is investigating this as a homicide. No suspect information is available and police say tips about the crime can be called in to the TIPS hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.
