    KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Three people have been taken to the hospital following a shooting early Sunday morning in Kansas City’s Crossroads district.   • Local school district offers cash prizes to students with perfect attendance

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Students in Kansas City could win cash for going to school. Hickman Mills students will be eligible to win $100 every month they have perfect attendance. Elementary school students could win $50 each month and a bike if they have perfect attendance at the end of the year. The district’s educational foundation and school fundraisers are paying for the lottery.

    OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — An awning crashed down in Overland Park on Friday, scaring people in half-a-dozen businesses. The collapse happened at about 2:30 p.m., on Shawnee Mission Parkway near Craig at a strip center. No injuries, only several cars damaged in today’s awning collapse.     KANSAS CITY, Kan. — A Kansas City, Kan., firefighter is behind bars Friday facing one count of sexual exploitation of a child.     BONNER SPRINGS, Kan. — A former Bonner Springs police officer who was arrested and accused of assaulting another officer had charges against him dropped. FOX4 received documentation that shows an entry of dismissal for aggravated battery against Joseph Grimm.
