Toni joined FOX4 as a Lifestyle Reporter for Great Day KC in July of 2021.
She is a native of Kansas City, MO and a graduate of Raytown South High School.
Toni obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication from the illustrious Claflin University in Orangeburg, South Carolina, and her Master of Science in Applied Communications from Missouri State University.
Toni has worked as a Multi-Media Journalist at WACH Fox in Columbia, South Carolina. There, she covered many topics to include breaking news to national stories, sports, politics, community features, education, and much more. She has also served as a voice for the community as a freelance reporter with Twelve Magazine, Our Community Now, City Lifestyle and more recently The Kansas City Star. She is also the founder of The Mommy Model, an inspirational blog for moms.
Toni has also worked for an iconic outdoor venue in Kansas City, Starlight Theatre, writing and producing Broadway Beat and On the Spot, and the Examiner Newspaper where she was responsible for weekly and quarterly publications.
Though she has been fortunate enough to learn many trades in the marketing and communications realm, getting the best of many worlds, the bulk of her passions do not stop there. One can often catch Toni ripping the runway or modeling for numerous designers and businesses. Toni has traveled to many places to pursue her modeling career to include Kansas City, New York, Miami, Atlanta, and Detroit.
She has used her experience in the modeling industry to assist Kansas City non-profit, Fashion Honors Autism. She volunteers as the Director of Marketing, breaking Autism Spectrum Disorder barriers through mentorship programs and fashion inspired workshops.
In her spare time, one can find her spending time with her son, who loves to watch Superhero movies and play Fortnite. She enjoys cooking, traveling, playing softball, and browsing Pinterest for recipes and the latest in fashion. Toni is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
