KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- In honor of Read Across America Week, the 27 students in Mrs. Gantz's fourth-grade class in the Leeton RX School District wrote letters to FOX 4's Nick Vasos.

Nick shared what some of the letters said on the morning show Wednesday, March 2, and the whole morning show crew says they're impressed by how talented Mrs. Gantz's fourth-graders are.

Fun facts we learned about Leeton, Mo., while reading the awesome letters:

  • They are "The Bulldogs"
  • 566 students at Leeton 1-A School
  • Taught cursive as early as 2nd grade
  • They play basketball, baseball, show cattle and participate in 4H
  • They are HUGE Royals Fans

Leeton is located about an hour from Kansas City, just south of Warrensburg.
