KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The children in Sharon Baker’s Sunday school class are helping change the world one goat at a time. They were challenged to raise $75 to give a goat to a family in need through the World Vision Gift Catalog three years ago, now they have given over 238 goats.

One goat can change the life of a family on the other side of the globe by providing a steady source of income and life-saving nutrients. A goat can give up to 16 glasses of milk a day, families often sell the surplus at market to buy essentials for their children.

As part Giving Tuesday, a day devoted to giving back to charity, the group encourages you to think about joining the children from Spring Valley Baptist Church and give a goat to help a kid this Giving Tuesday.
